A sewing & alteration service with a difference…

I am an accomplished seamstress having nearly 40 years of experience specialising in bespoke dressmaking, one of a kind designer pieces made to your exact specifications. My back catalogue includes hand painting suits in rainbow colours, making fancy dress costumes, like Captain Hook & Disney Princesses, creating the simplest silhouettes for wedding gowns, along with the most ornate & elaborate gowns adorned with Swarovski crystals, beadwork, embroidery & hand painting. My sewing & design skills are endless. Although I no longer make garments to order, this will give you a bit of an idea how capable I am as an alteration specialist.

Unlike many designers I am a trained pattern cutter & manufacturer, so when it comes to garment construction I understand exactly what will & won’t work.

I make curtains, & soft furnishings, as well as bespoke covers for unusual objects, (like my husbands Concorde Nose Cone prototype from 002, yes really) as well as up cycling tired & worn pieces of old furniture that were destined for the dump!

If you have a favourite garment that needs a repair or alteration, then don’t throw it away, come & see me & I’ll bring it back to life. I alter & repair just about any garment, although I have had to stop replacing zips in coats & jackets recently, because of the cost of the zips, & the time involved in the removal & replacing.
